Bronze in Asian Games for PSH Convivial
We were so proud to see the Power Sport Horses-bred PSH Convivial take Bronze at this year’s Asian Games this weekend, expertly ridden by China’s Alex Hua Tian.

In an interview with China Daily, Alex said:
“Spike (PSH Convivial) is a really good horse that I only bought last year. It took me three months to persuade his previous owners to sell him."
"We bought him because he's a very different type of horse. He's smaller. He's feisty. He has a lot of heart and courage and he's really sensitive.
"Spike is a competitive horse, but Jakarta is just a stepping stone for us to get to Tokyo.
"It's not just about being competitive, it's about giving him the key experiences of travelling and soaking up the atmosphere.
"All these things are very important for a horse. It's not just about myself."
28-year-old Alex is now setting his sights on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, after finishing eighth at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The Bronze medal winning horse PSH Convivial is a 16.2 hands gelding sired by our own stallion PSH Ulysses with dam Miss Roxcento, bred and produced by Power Sport Horse’s Newtown stables and ridden by Loretta Joynson.
We can’t wait to see Alex and PSH Convivial riding high at the Olympics in 2020.
